Seize The Bass × Orlando
Building a stronger local discovery layer for Orlando’s electronic-music and nightlife ecosystem
Seize The Bass is an Orlando-focused electronic-music discovery, media, and promotion platform designed to help residents and visitors find local events while supporting the venues, promoters, artists, and businesses that make the city’s nightlife culture possible.
STB’s goal is simple:
Make it easier to discover what’s happening in Orlando, connect fans directly to official event information and ticket sellers, and create measurable visibility for the local organizations producing those experiences.
This creates opportunities to support downtown activation, arts and culture, local businesses, and visitor engagement. Downtown Orlando maintains a public event calendar and considers event submissions. These existing resources provide context for STB’s proposed collaborations. Downtown Orlando events ↗
Independent proposal: The opportunities below are proposals from Seize The Bass. They do not imply City of Orlando endorsement, an official affiliation, or confirmed partnerships with any named organization.
What Seize The Bass Provides
STB is being built as more than an event calendar. The platform combines:
- Orlando and Central Florida electronic-music event discovery
- Direct links to official ticket sellers
- Venue and promoter profiles
- Genre and weekend discovery pages
- Festival guides
- Local search visibility
- Newsletter and social distribution
- Event and ticket-click analytics
- Editorial coverage
- Promoter and venue partnership opportunities
The long-term goal is for STB to function as a local discovery and distribution layer for Orlando’s electronic-music and nightlife ecosystem. Editorial, newsletter, social and partnership activity develops alongside the platform; individual campaigns and deliverables are agreed separately.

Public Value to Orlando
Local discovery
Residents and visitors can more easily answer questions such as:
- What electronic-music events are happening this weekend?
- What venues are active downtown?
- Which local promoters are producing events?
- What festivals and nightlife experiences are available?
Support for local businesses and venues
STB directs users toward local venues, promoters, event producers, and official ticket sellers rather than keeping the audience inside a closed platform.
Downtown activation
The City describes arts, entertainment and cultural programming as ways to activate public spaces, bring people together and support local businesses. STB can help amplify relevant programming and encourage discovery of downtown venues and surrounding businesses. This is an opportunity, not a claim of measured economic impact from STB. Visitor experience
For visitors attending major festivals, conventions, concerts, or sporting events, STB can provide a focused guide to Orlando’s electronic-music and nightlife offerings before, during, and after those events.
Local cultural visibility
STB can help surface smaller independent promoters, local artists, and venues that may not receive the same visibility as large national events.
Proposed Collaboration Opportunities
1. Orlando Electronic Music & Nightlife Guide
Develop an ongoing destination page highlighting current electronic-music events, venues, promoters, and festivals across Orlando.
- Downtown nightlife discovery
- Visitor resources
- Festival-weekend guides
- Event-calendar cross-promotion
2. Downtown Event Amplification
Work with Downtown Orlando and relevant city organizations to surface eligible downtown events across STB’s website, newsletter, and social channels.
Downtown Orlando already maintains an event calendar and accepts public event submissions, making this a natural area to explore coordination. Downtown Orlando ↗
3. Quarterly Orlando Electronic Music Report
STB can develop a recurring snapshot of the local electronic-music ecosystem using its event database. Potential metrics include:
- Number of events listed
- Active venues
- Active promoters
- Genre distribution
- Geographic concentration
- Festival activity
- Event-page traffic
- Outbound ticket clicks
- Search/discovery trends
The report would focus on observed STB data and would not claim broader economic impact without supporting evidence. Traffic and search metrics would be included only where collected and available. Ticket clicks measure referrals, not confirmed purchases or attendance.
4. 407 Day / Local Discovery Collaboration
A future 407 Electronic Music Guide could highlight local venues, promoters, artists, and events as part of Orlando’s broader support-local efforts.
Visit Orlando describes 407 Day as an initiative organized by the City of Orlando, Orange County Government, Orlando Economic Partnership and Visit Orlando to encourage support for local businesses. STB is proposing a future contribution; participation is not confirmed. Visit Orlando ↗
5. Festival & Major Event Weekend Guides
For major Orlando events such as EDC Orlando and other large cultural weekends, STB can create local guides covering:
- Official events
- Nightlife
- Local venues
- Transportation and planning resources
- Surrounding entertainment
- Direct official ticket links
These guides can connect major-event visitors with the wider local scene. Mentioning a festival does not imply affiliation or confirmed media credentials.
Who STB Wants to Work With
Seize The Bass is interested in building relationships with:
- City of Orlando Office of Special Events
- Downtown Development Board / Community Redevelopment Agency
- Downtown Orlando Partnership
- Arts & Cultural Affairs
- Visit Orlando
- Orlando Economic Partnership
- Local venues
- Local promoters
- Festival organizers
- Cultural organizations
Downtown Orlando’s organization directory identifies Downtown Orlando Partnership and Orlando Economic Partnership as resources for professional connections and regional business relationships. Downtown Orlando organizations ↗
Partnership Philosophy
STB is not seeking to become an official City of Orlando platform immediately. The goal is to establish a useful working relationship first.
City and community partners provide information and opportunities for collaboration.
STB helps distribute relevant programming, improve discovery, and provide measurable audience data.
Over time, that relationship can evolve into event partnerships, cultural programming, visitor initiatives, sponsorships, or other formal collaborations where there is a clear public benefit. Scope, permissions and reporting would be agreed with each organization.
About Seize The Bass
Seize The Bass is an independent Orlando-based electronic-music discovery, media, and promotion platform. The brand originally developed through electronic-music promotion and community involvement in the Bay Area before being relaunched in Central Florida.
Today, STB’s primary market is Orlando, with discovery extending across Central Florida. Its mission is to make the local electronic-music ecosystem easier to discover while helping the people and organizations producing those events reach the audiences looking for them.
